1987 Honda Super Magna (VF700C)

1987 was the last year of the Magna's 1st run. This deep blue, "dragster" styled V42 has the distinctive, upswept exhaust & is shaft drive...a blessing in the PNWet. The bike hasn't had much love since my new ride & needs someone with more skill to get it back OTR. When still ridden, it was 100% “Honda reliable" for me. I suspect an easy fix, born from neglect. Bike was last ridden July '20 (during COVID), but been garaged since then. I got it running again after a few years dormant. Replaced the battery, cleaned the tank & carbs, at which point it started, ran, & stopped. Trans & driveline were both smooth & functional, with no issues in the electrical system. However, the idle was rough & the bike needed something I couldn't figure out. The bike has been stored indoors since then, on a trickle charger, & still cranks & starts. Other than the above, it needs a good cleaning & a new seat cover. Or, the cover could be stitched...the thread gave out, but the vinyl is not ripped. The bike was always covered, but prior to 2018 had lived mostly outdoors. As such, this Magna has a patina to be expected in a momo that has seen regular duty, year round, in the PNW.
